Unbothered

Passed by a fatal scene
in a three-legged wheel
men counting their losses
injuries on bodies…
Made the circle his home,
and sat just across;
black, strained, scraggy, and messy
with a calm in the chaos
oblivious to stupor,
mindlessly living in space.
As we journeyed on,
I slipped into thoughts…
And it dawned on me,
the many things we take for granted;
the inconveniences we lightly esteem.
Oh! the blessedness of chaos,
And, yet the gift of peace,
As only the living can feel pain,
so it takes a sane mind to be bothered.
Only a sane mind can think,
only a sane mind can grow.
