I am a bird,
I fly and perch,
Unusual yet colorful.
I am Ẹyẹ-ilé,
Loyal and fierce;
tightly connected to its roots.
I am a bird,
I explore and nest,
Fragile yet swift.
Set loosed and caged
Freely winged and clipped
Hungry for the Sky.
I am water,
I flow;
connected to everything
yet, attached to nothing.
I take up space
and fall back flat.
Sometimes, I roar!
Many times, I'm calm.
Temptest and tossed,
yet, perfect in tranquility.
I dry off
Yet, spring back again.
I am Light,
I glow!
Balls to fire,
I burn.
I light up the world
and make beautiful
Custodian of joy and clarity;
I attract and console,
I keep warm and safe.
But, Hey! don't push it!
Although tamed,
I run wild.
I am a tree
the beautiful Àràbà
Green and promising
I grow and flourish
Rooted and Strong;
I shade and protect.
I am a bridge
Afárá ni mí,
I connect; Yes!
People and purpose
I impact-
Graced by the Almighty.
I am Aláyọ̀
Abba's daughter
made beautiful and free:
Beauty from ashes
Light from darkness
Graced and grateful.
