Lights on (the) bed,
Blood on (the) sheets,
Broken skins...
Dry, patched, and swollen.
Fear of the dusk,
Dreams pared in two,
Restless nights,
Gapes cheated (out) of sleep.
Pickled sound...
Smeared by the pop of 'em,
Dainty smell with 'unrelish',
Drunk, robust, and long,
Flat 'lil creatures.
How did we get here?
How will it leave there?
Will it make me sickly?
My thoughts every day,
Fingers on the screen.
